Pro tip: take a shot of tequila or mezcal before and after each meal to help with the digestion if you're not used to the environment. Keep on for a peaceful journey.

WHERE TO PARTY
2nd week of January each year
Curated by Damian Lazarus, the stages are set in the Mayan jungle, where you will find mysticism and safety - even if you get lost! Partying on the land aims to converge the two communities of electronic music lovers and Mayans, who also partake in the ceremony of joy and happiness. Their version of ceremony and ritual is the same as our version of going to a festival. Therefore, each year, we come together to honor each other. A convergence of two worlds as a cultural practice.
Come for the music, and stay for the experience. Year after year this festival remains a favorite! This year we filmed Damian Lazarus's 3 hour set, which you can watch here! Watch their mini-documentary called The Reset to learn more.
Tucked away among the beach strip, you will not only find a hotel and wellness destination, but they also merge music into their experience. Here you can dance on a private beach with toes in the sand and mezcal in hand for magic sunset hour. Their signature Baja El Sol events begin at 2pm on Sundays. Send them a DM before arriving to be sure of the current programming.
A place where friends DJ for a special daytime affair, this venue is permitted by reservations only. It's no exception to the Tulum vibe of integrating healing, music, food, and drinks, and its added value is that you can hear DJs spin vinyl. Go for a daytime experience and just relax to good music.
A beach club with a dynamic environment. The space was created with music journeys in mind, which attracts fellow record labels and associates to host their events such as Giegling, Life & Death, and All Day I Dream. Located directly on the sand, all needs are met: good sound, crafted cocktails, clean and beautiful bathrooms, and lovely people.
The local spot. Not many tourists have gone here, but if you know you know. Here is where the up-and-coming Tulum based DJs play and the heads converse. They extend beyond electronic music and deliver fusions of funk and jazz too. Plus, they have games such as pool and Jenga while you eat pizza and listen to live music. Sounds wholesome, right?
